Jay L. Cooke

Jay L. Cooke is a practicing attorney licensed in the states of Michigan and Colorado and the principal of Cooke Management, Inc., a privately held real estate investment firm. Throughout his career, he has combined extensive legal experience with real estate investment, development, and management.

Mr. Cooke is a 1974 graduate of Michigan State University–Detroit College of Law. He is a retired U.S. Navy legal officer (JAG), having also attended the U.S. Marine Corps Platoon Leaders Class (PLC) program in Quantico, Virginia, and the U.S. Naval Justice School in Newport, Rhode Island.

Over the course of his legal career, Mr. Cooke has been a partner in several law firms and currently serves as principal of Cooke and Cooke Attorneys. His professional background also includes licensure as a real estate broker, which is currently inactive. His experience in both law and real estate has provided a strong foundation for his leadership of Cooke Management and its diverse real estate investment activities.

Mr. Cooke has maintained a longstanding commitment to community service and philanthropy. His service has included service as a Board member and General Counsel for the national KOA Care Camps organization. He has also served various homeowners associations and currently serves as a Trustee of Kirk in the Hills Presbyterian Church in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.

Despite his many professional and civic accomplishments, Mr. Cooke considers his greatest achievement to be his family. He is the proud father of four sons and a devoted grandfather.
